Now that back to school is in full swing and we’ve got nearly a month behind us, how are you doing with your routine? I read a discussion among friends on Facebook recently about making lunch – debating the benefits of making lunch the evening before versus the morning of. I’m a morning-of mom. I like making everything fresh (fridge sandwiches aren’t appealing to me) but there are some days when we’re seriously running behind and in the interest of saving time, I’ll give my son (a favorite) pizza pops to microwave for lunch. While I have no issues sending a frozen meal for lunch from time to time, I know I can do better.

The video offers some great tips for packing quick lunches (I think I can handle cutting up some fruit and veggies the night before to have handy in the mornings) and a great point to remember is that variety is key.
