The 5th semi-annual OutGROW OutPLAY Consignment Sale is coming to Saskatoon September 21st and 22nd! This fall they have big news!
The location of the sale has moved from it’s rather chilly previous spot to INDOORS AT THE PRAIRIELAND PARK – HALL B!! Vendors have been signing up since this was announced early this summer and this undoubtedly promises to be the biggest sale yet!
Haven’t heard of OutGROW OutPLAY before? You’ve been missing out!! There are franchises across Canada and we’re fortunate to have one right here in Saskatchewan! I love this sale, and here’s why:
1. It’s modern! Consignors enter in all the info at home, online, and print out BAR CODED tags. This isn’t a backyard garage sale.
2. It’s easy! Customers shop knowing all items are scanned in for price accuracy AND they can pay with cash, debit or even credit card at the tills.
3. It’s frugal! Instead of tossing used items or handing them down to someone who may or may not actually use them, sell them for cash! Consignors can earn up to 80% commission which is WAY MORE than you’d receive at a consignment store that has to pay staff, and bills. Volunteers are what make this sale great, and what keeps overhead costs low (and volunteering is the way to up your commission %)
4. It’s detailed! After the sale, Consignors will receive a report right in your account detailing every single item that sold and exactly what time it sold at. This information helps me tremendously when preparing for the next sale because I know what items were hot sellers (toys, DVD’s and big ticket outdoor items) and which items went on the last morning (in other words, maybe I should price those lower next time to ensure it sells!)
5. It’s efficient! Checks are mailed out within 7-10 days after the sale, exactly the amount detailed in your report. No surprises.
Customers love these sales – frugal shoppers can walk away with massive savings and great products at 70% off retail prices! There are always brand new items in the sale too, and vendors are set up with tables of their new products as well. It really is a mecca of products for kids.
