Skechers GOwalk and GOrecovery: The Shoes I Didn’t Expect to Love!

skechers_gowalk

I love Skechers shoes.  I’m always happy to review the latest styles for each season, and my kids are happy Skechers customers all through the school year.  So, when given the opportunity to review a shoe from the new GOwalk and GOrecovery line, I was excited.

skechers gorecoveryUntil I saw the shoes.

And then I wasn’t so sure.

Vain?  Perhaps.  I’m not a stiletto wearing girl but I do like a pretty sandal and running shoes look awkward on my feet.  You’ll find me in flip-flops or sandals in the summer and boots in the winter, with not much in between in terms of style.  Still, the Skechers GOrecovery shoes I received certainly looked comfortable.  And I could probably find some outfits where I could make them work…if I had to…And then I slipped them on my feet.

The end.

Ok, ok…you’re owed more than that, I suppose!  Truly, these Skechers GOrecovery shoes are one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.

They are so light that they feel like you have nothing on your feet at all, yet have an amazing cloud-like cushioning so you feel like you can almost bounce when you walk.

SKECHERS GOwalk and SKECHERS GOrecovery Shoe Features:

GOimpulse Sensors:
Allows foot to respond to various surfaces and promotes natural stride while providing a comfortable durable foundation.
Lightweight 360 Degree Responsive Flexibility:
Minimalist design complimented by synthetic flexible paneling guarantees for a breathable wear.
Integrated OrthoLite™ Sockliner:
Anti-microbial sockliner helps inhibit odor from barefoot wear and prevents slippage.
Resalyte™ Midsole:
Lightweight and effective impact absorption elevates walking experience and reduces pressure on ankle and knee joints

Clearly, these shoes are a huge find for those with injuries but they’re really for anyone.  Mom on the go, yoga enthusiast, it doesn’t matter.  There are shoes for men as well (my husband was actually bothered that I didn’t request shoes for him, after seeing mine!)

I’m glad I tried on these shoes and didn’t let their non-sandal appearance stop me.  If you’re in a Skechers location this summer, check out the GOwalk and GOrecovery line of shoes and slip them on – I bet you’ll be as surprised as I was to love them!  At a suggested retail price of $75, they’re less than a pair of brand-name yoga pants and just as comfortable to wear.
