If we’re friends on Facebook and you notice that I don’t “like” your page anymore, please don’t think you have bad breath or that you mentioning the flu in the wrong context ticked me off that much (Twitter rant on that one here).
The truth is, since the beginning of the week bloggers have noticed that their Facebook LIKES are doing down and – not only that – their actual Friends that Like the page have dropped significantly!
Here’s my own Feisty Frugal & Fabulous page with a count of how many of my Friends Like Feisty Frugal & Fabulous. Just yesterday it was over 100. Ouch.
So – once again Facebook has done something really weird and has no explanation so far on why this is happening. I get when they clean out spam accounts or fake Facebook accounts that like a page, that’s good for everyone. But my own friends? That’s just mean.
The only remedy for now, unless Facebook figures out how to put those likes back, is to post on your wall asking your friends to check if they still LIKE your page. You know, cuz as Bloggers we don’t have anything else to do right?
Blargh Facebook, why do you make it so hard to like you sometimes??
Mine is at 62, too. Is that the magic number? Only allowed 62 personal friends to like your page? SO bizarre.
Oh! We should look around….that’s a weird coincidence!

I still have 113 on my coupon page. I’m just starting out & none are personal friends….Very weird!
I’ve been watching my number go down since Christmas. I am glad I am not alone.
hmm… interesting. My poage like count hasn’t gone down at all. *knock on wood!*
It is not just you. For about 2 weeks, it would take 72 likes away and put them back randomly. Eventually it stopped, and it was all good, but that may be the same thing.
My total count hasn’t gone done, but friends liking my page went down to 60 from 350!! i thought it was super weird too???but why doesn’t the total count go down?? ahh so confusing! Hope it gets figured out.
They also have been randomly “unlike’-ing pages and people I follow. It’s driving me nuts.
My friends who like my page went from 106 to 59. Seriously?! But the total count is the same. I don’t get it…
