I wonder how many women are like me and take advantage of the holidays as a way to buy items for their husbands or boyfriends in areas they feel they need a little help in. I know several friends who kind of re-vamp their husband’s wardrobes by buying them clothing a little out of their comfort zone for the holidays. Or maybe a new cologne so he can get rid of the awful-stank stuff he’s always wearing (I once had a friend that accidentally threw away her boyfriend’s cologne because it was the kind her ex wore, then happily replaced it with a new brand because she felt “so bad”!)
Thankfully, my husband is pretty laid back after all these years of my helpful suggestions 😉 and I don’t have to argue him too much on change. But the fact remains that the holidays are a great time to buy your man items he may not necessarily buy for himself.
If you’re a Skechers fan, might I suggest picking up a pair of new boots to put under the tree for him? That way, when you buy an extra pair for yourself, you can pat yourself on the shoulder for a job while done – your own purchase is the reward for your thoughtful shopping!
Tasked with a review of men’s boots this holiday season, I picked these awesome Skechers Sovino-Dave boots. They look like a hiking boot but are warm and comfy like a winter boot should be. With a fabric lined boot lining for added insulation and warmth and a faux fur collar trim, he won’t have frosty toes when he’s out shoveling the driveway or running up the snow hill with the kids.
Also available in brown, these boots are my pick for HIM this holiday season!

I’m digging on the Alamar – Cabin, twice he drives 45 minutes each direction on craptastic winter secondary highways to and from work in dress shoes. This way he’d be warm and still stylin.
