Mobi WallMate

Mobi’s WallMate Color Changing Nightlights stand out from the crowd. Consistent recipient of 5 star reviews, the WallMate’s LED lights give off no heat, and exceed federal standards for lead and BPA levels so it’s completely safe.

The Wallmate has a photocell sensor, which automatically turns on as it gets dark…and off at daylight. You can choose soft blue, green, red, or rainbow. The WallMate has an easy to clean surface and is made of safe, durable, impact-resistant plastic.

The new series of safari inspired, animal shaped WallMates will spark your child’s imagination and sense of adventure. Now you can light up all the nooks and crannies throughout your home.

My kids are both adamant about not sleeping in the dark. They always have a lamp or light on (usually a light on a dimmer switch) that my husband and I turn off when we go to bed. It’s as if they sense that light going off because they will inevitably wake up 10 minutes later and we can hear the patter of little feet when they run to turn it back on.

We’ve tried plug-in night lights before but I’m so paranoid about those little bulbs getting hot (and they do!) so they don’t last too long in our kid’s room.

I like the Mobi WallMate (available for $12.95 on the site) because it does not get hot when plugged in.  At all.  it’s also super fun for the kids because it changes color constantly (or, you can set it to one color but who wants to do that?!) which has a super calming effect at bedtime.

I wouldn’t suggest it’s a bright night light to help kids see every nook and cranny in the dark (I don’t find it as bright as regular nightlights) but it serves the purpose for us because the kids are mesmorized watching it and forget the fact that their usual dimmer-light is not on.

Some nights I still hear the pitter-patter of little feet when they go to turn on their usual night light when the Mobi WallMate isn’t bright enough, and that’s ok.  There will come a time when it will be ME keeping the porch light or hallway light on waiting for them to come home, and I remind myself of that the 3rd time I get out of bed at night to turn the switch off. 😉
