The Dyson AM02 Tower Fan – My Summer Travel Must Have (yes, really!)

Every summer we take a trip to visit my parents for a few days in July. And it seems like every year that we take this trip, we choose the hottest week of the month to go to visit my parent’s non air-conditioned bungalow. We don’t have air conditioning ourselves, but somehow in our bi-level house it doesn’t become much of a problem.  My parent’s house is another story!  So, this year, we are taking our new Dyson AM02 Tower Fan with us on our 5 hour journey!

With a forecast like that, you know the Dyson AM02 Tower Fan is a must, if you’ve done any reading about Dyson fan technology!  If you haven’t heard about them yet, let me give you a quick explanation of why Dyson fans will save your sanity in un air-conditioned houses this summer.

Unlike regular fans, the Dyson AM02 Tower Fan uses Air Multiplier technology and eliminates blades completely!  As a parent, I can’t tell you how important this is with 3 curious and fearless children.  You know what?  Even without blades my 8 year old stuck his head in the middle of this fan – yep, they’ll do anything without thinking about it first (ugh).

More about the fan – the output is really surprising – with no blades you’d wonder how much airflow a fan could put out but the technology is so advanced, so well thought-out, that the Dyson AM02 Tower Fan amplifies it 16x!  Add to this technology a fully oscilating fan and touch tilt and you’ve got yourself a winner.  Now, add in a sleek design and new glossy white finish and you’ve got a fan that not only works better than any other you’ve ever tried, it also blends in seamlessly with your decor.

And…for the next week or so too, my parent’s decor.  There’s no way I’m leaving this summer travel must-have behind, and I doubt I’m the only one who takes this fan with them whether it be a relatives house, the summer cabin and more.

With a suggested retail of $549, the Dyson AM02 Tower Fan is available in Canada at The Bay, Home Outfitters, Sears, Future Shop, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Dyson.com and independent Dyson retailers.
