Introducing Florsheim Kids’ new collection—inspired by the same classic designs that have helped free-thinkers navigate their way through the world for years. Florsheim Kids shoes let every boy walk his own way. Hand-crafted from rich materials with inspiration from old-school styles, the collection includes oxfords, wingtips, moccasins and loafers—presented in both current and vintage colors, materials, and detailing.

In these shoes walk the young trailblazers who aren’t afraid to rock out to their own beat: the boy whose shoes are always flecked with paint or hanging off the edge of a fishing dock, who’s riffing chords in the garage or hanging out on the half-pipe. These are boys who won’t take no for an answer, who will see any challenge as an invitation to prove everyone wrong. As each Florsheim kid walks out the door, he’s got a map in his hands and a pair of shoes on his feet that will help him wander off the beaten path.

We were recently sent a pair of Kennett Jr. style shoes by Florsheim Kids to review, and it was good timing too because with the new school year on the horizon I had zero “nice” shoes for my soon-to-be-third-grader to wear to special events.  True, the shoes at Florsheim Kids could be worn for everyday play but knowing the kind of play my boy gets himself into, I like knowing I have something that can stay in good shape, clean, and have him looking super stylish tucked away in the closet!

Elijah is 8 and wears a size 2 and although he’s going to look very swank in them this fall, knowing that the shoes start in size 10 makes me giddy at the thought of little 4 year old boys running around in such smart, big-boy shoes.

Florsheim Kids has a section on the Florsheim website dedicated to showcasing their shoes but I’ve found that the best photography and ideas for coordinating outfits comes from the Florsheim Kids Facebook page.  Check it out for great ideas!
