Little Tikes Pillow Racers have my kids convinced that they all needed one after seeing the commercials on TV. Have you seen them? The idea is great – the cover is a soft plush animal so little ones that are not so steady on their feet yet can climb on without too much difficulty. Then, when play time is over the cover is removable so little ones can cuddle (or if there was too much fun, it can be washed!)
Best for ages 18 months – 3 years, my youngest isn’t quite old enough to ride off into the sunset with her Turtle Pillow Racer that we received just yet, but she’s still able to climb on it and test it out cautiously. The castor wheels make it so that you can literally spin around in a circle with little effort, so I can see why Little Tikes have an older age on the product (unlike plastic ride on toys that go forward or backward only).
I think this is a great idea for indoor play – keep the plastic ride on toys for outdoor use and save the Little Tikes Pillow Racers for indoor and save your wall paint! 😉
