Mother’s Day: Time to Start Dropping Hints

I was out shopping alone this week (a rare occurrence indeed!) and while I bought a few things for myself, I put a few things back on the shelf while making a note to myself that I should probably tell my husband about it.  THIS store, THIS item, THIS size.  I know I’m not alone here.

Many of us have to give explicit instructions for Mother’s Day (yes it deserves capital letters!) lest we be left with a bucket of gardening tools or a new mop (not that there’s anything wrong with that…)

My trick is to give my husband a few different ideas, and that way when Mother’s Day arrives I’m still surprised by the gift itself.   In motherhood every day is a surprise.  🙂

Recently, I checked out a quiz from Shoppers Drug Mart to help determine my mommy style.

Not only would this help find great gift ideas to pass on to my husband, I thought, but it would also help me by recommending some products that are more my style.

While I love to dress up for press trips, in the day-to-day adventure that is my life, you can typically find me in yoga pants or jeans, hair pulled back in a ponytail and minimal make-up.

After taking the easy quiz I was told that my mommy style is “Natural”.  That sounds about right!
