Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas from Hallmark

Hallmark is a go-to for any special occasion, and Valentine’s Day is certainly one worthy of that special Hallmark touch.  Hallmark Stores and your favorite retailers have a great selection of cards, of course, but they also have some great gift ideas aside from the standard chocolate that can help you tell someone special how much you love them.  Two family-perfect gifts from Hallmark this year are Hallmark Recordable Storybooks and new Blooming Expressions.

Robert Munsch’s classic Love You Forever is new in the Recordable Storybook series and perfect for Valentine’s Day!

I received this book from Hallmark but I’ve run into a bit of a problem.  You see, I can’t get throuh reading this book out loud without choking up!  It’s one of my favorite stories and every time I read it to the kids, I end up tearing up.

The idea of recording the story is perfect (saves me from a bawl-fest each time we read it together) but I can’t get through the book without crying!  I guess having mom’s voice get wobbly would add some authenticity to the story since it’s how I read it each time!  I have a few more days yet before I have to give it to the kids – we’ll see if it’s a wobbly-voice story or not!

Of course there’s a ton of other great book ideas in the collection of Recordable Storybooks from Hallmark including some other great Valentine’s Day choices like All The Ways I Love You and Guess How Much I Love You.

New from Hallmark this year are Blooming Expressions – cute little fabric flowers in a pot that bloom with the push of a button to reveal a special message inside (I have a feeling these are going to be a hit in May for Mother’s Day too!)

I received one of these from Hallmark but gave it to my husband so that he could get my 4 year old to “surprise” me with it on Valentine’s Day – she’s going to giggle like a maniac with her special gift!

I actually got Nevaeh something very special from Hallmark – personalized Valentine’s Day cards for her class featuring Disney Princesses and a picture of her with the princesses on our Disney cruise!  She can’t wait to hand them out to her preschool friends.

Look for Recordable Storybooks and Blooming Expression at Hallmark stores across the US and Canada or at a local retailer (I found both at Walmart!)  The personalized cards are available online for US customers only.
