Neutrogena Wet Skin

Have you seen the commercials on tv for new Wet Skin Sunblock from Neutrogena?  They caught my attention and I’m sure the attention of many moms.  The idea of applying sunscreen to wet skin and actually have it work is appealing!  I admit I’ve applied other sunscreen products to my own kid’s wet skin even though I know it’s not very efficient but on busy summer days, my thought was always, “it’s better than not at all.”  The thing is, applying regular sunscreen to wet skin is not enough protection – it goes on white and literally slides off because it can’t penetrate the water and create a barrier on the skin.  Whoops.

Neutrogena Wet Skin sunscreen features Helioplex® technology, broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection that offers superior protection from the sun (to read more about this technology follow the link).  While I love technology, as a mom the more important factor in my decision is obviously whether it works or not when applying to wet skin.  So, we did a little experiment!

So there you have it – scabbed up legs and all – Neutrogena Wet Skin really does cut through water on skin and gives you a protective barrier from the sun.  In our experience it also leaves your skin feeling smoother too!  We have Neutrogena Wet Skin sunblock for the whole family to use this summer and hopefully that means I have no excuse for myself or the kids ending up with a sun burn!

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Neutrogena and received sunscreen and other Neutrogena products as a thank you for my participation.
