I have been doing a lot of online shopping lately, mostly because it’s so much easier to shop online than it is to take 3 kids into mall, but also because there are some great deals online that are hard to pass up. Some of my favorite sites to shop here in Canada:
The Children’s Place: Heads up, yes Canadians can now finally shop online at The Children’s Place! I didn’t realize this until I was in the store (over an hour away) last week and saw a sign advertising the online shopping option! The store was ridiculously busy so I only purchased some shorts for my son and opted to check out the online store later that weekend and I’m glad I did! There are items on the site that are not available in store and the selection was better too! There’s an $8 flat rate shipping charge though (wish they had a free shipping option but maybe they will have some free shipping promos?)
Old Navy: Oh how I love shopping online at Old Navy! Sign up for the Old Navy newsletter and receive a special offer in your inbox plus you’ll get a heads up anytime they have a great deal to offer in store and/or online. If you give them your birth date you will also get a special offer (10% off) around your birthday – just make sure to pay attention to the expiry dates on these bonus offers. I do like that Old Navy offers free shipping on all orders over $50.
Lululemon: Just when you thought all I did was shop for the kids, I’ve redeemed myself here sharing my favorite online store for myself, and most recently my husband. I am huge Lululemon fan – the brand is my “mommy uniform” as I call it because I wear something from Lululemon almost every day. Lululemon offers free shipping on all orders!
Price Matters: I just discovered this site, full of great deals for Canadians on everything from home decor to clothing. They are currently offering free shipping on all orders over $20!
Current online deals + coupons:
Check back often at Save.ca, BrandSaver.ca and GoCoupons.ca for coupons on groceries, beauty items, household items and even diapers that are mailed directly to you.
Get a coupon for a Free Box of Chocolate Cheerios (redeemable on June 21st only) from Life Made Delicious at WebSaver.ca (Life Made Delicious is a great site where you can also find easy recipes as well!)
Click to find out how you can get a Free Movie Ticket on specially marked boxes of General Mills cereals.
Make sure, whenever you are shopping, to use the store’s points card (Shoppers Optimum Card, Sobey’s card, etc.) to optimize your purchase by gaining points for a future purchase down the road. Also, if you are paying with a credit card, make sure you are using one that gives you something back as well, like the American Express air miles card, for example. There’s no sense in making a purchase and not getting something extra when the next person in line is!
Thanks! As a fellow Canadian this info is really helpful!
