Mixbook

Recently, I learned about Mixbook, an online source for photo books, cards, stationery and more.  I’ve worked with other companies in the past when reviewing holiday cards, invitations, etc., so I thought I would check out Mixbook and see what magic they could create with Everleigh’s birth announcements.  I just finished addressing envelopes and getting them all sent out about 10 days ago and have been getting such great compliments on them from friends and family!  I’m really happy with the custom photo birth announcements I made at Mixbook!

It took me forever to pick out the perfect birth announcement but I finally decided on this Fresh Pink Plaid announcement (though I’m not sure where the plaid comes in?)  Available in 6 different sizes (I decided on 5’7), this girl’s birth announcement gives you room for 3 photos on the front plus another 1 on on the back.

Creating the card was easy – you just upload the photos you would like to use and then drag and drop them into the appropriate spots.

You essentially  have an online album so if the announcements don’t look the way you thought they would, you can start over with a new choice without having to upload photos again.

The prices at Mixbook are really good too (and frugal!)  The card I picked started at just 49 cents each depending on the quantity.  For an average order of 30 cards, the price was 72 cents each making it just over $21 which is awesome!

Shipping for cards and stationery starts at just $2.99 within the US and $14.99 to Canada (wish the shipping to Canada was lower, though it’s not unexpected as Canadians are familiar with shipping costs from the US).

Of course cards are just one of the many items available from Mixbook – Photo Books are really popular at Mixbook and something I’d like to look at making next.  Mixbook also has a unique collaboration feature which allows friends or family members to actually work on a book together, which I think is really cool.  I could see this option being really useful for group projects!
