I promised myself that, before baby #3 makes her arrival, I would complete my older two kids 1st year scrapbooks and baby books. The real challenge here was that I had not started either of the two for Nevaeh and was done Elijah’s, my oldest, about half way. I’m determined though! This weekend, I finished Elijah’s scrapbook (just a few more things to add to his baby book and I’m done) and have moved on to Nevaeh’s scrapbook this week.
I am by no means a hobby scrapbooker. I don’t buy countless tools and papers and I think what’s held me back the longest is feeling like I couldn’t make mine look as nice as the ones I’ve seen. I’ve come to realize that, with anything in parenting, you just do the best you can and your kids don’t notice if it’s not perfect because, after all, you’re MOM and you’re clearly quite amazing to them regardless.
Here is the last page of Elijah’s scrapbook! 4 weeks to go – I had better not go into labor surrounded by layouts, photos, and stickers…but if I do, someone please finish off the work, will ya?
I never did scrapbooks but I did buy each of the kids a baby book …. never finished any of them. The sad thing is even if I tried now, I wouldn’t remember most of the details. It’s good you finished them while you still can.
I am really bad at baby books too. I bought them for each of my children and filled out some of the info, but never finished them. With my second daughter, I decided to start blogging to keep track. Then with my son, my blog posts helped me go back and fill in some of the info.
That is so cute. I wish I had any sort of talent so I could do a scrap book.
I started doing this with my son and then my daughter came along and I kinda started one for her and now I don’t know where they are at 🙁 I would love to finish mine too! You did a great job on yours!!! Love scrap booking!!!
Great job! I love scrapbooking but have hardly touched my daughter’s and she’s almost 2…I’m in so much trouble when this baby comes and I really have no free time!
I started scrapbooking years ago and finally moved to digital scrapbooking last year. Much easier!!
Thanks for another reminder. 😛 I really have to get on this. I should probably print my wedding pictures too. How awful is that??

I’m the scrapbooker who does have all the tools, gadgets, and supplies but I do NOT have the time to do it. It’s sad, really.
That’s pretty cool. I’m just not that organized to be able to do things like that. I have pictures in miscellaneous places all over the house.
I never did scrapbooks, but it looks like you’re doing a great job.
this layout looks great!!! you should cut yourself some slack as it looks better than many i’ve seen from people who do spend tons of money on tools etc.

It turned out great! I am bad about doing stuff like that too. I try to do a Shutterfly book each year for each of my kids but I am behind!
Wow, cute! I did baby books. my boys were before “scrapbooking” was popular. tho I got quite a bit in the oldest book, I forgot to write a lot of milestones even the 1st year in the 2nd… so it amazes me when anyone can put so much more thought & creation into their childs memories, I applaud you!

Those pages look great! I hope you’re able to get them finished. I did well keeping up on Rylie’s baby book until she was 11 months old, and I haven’t touched it since. I have never even opened Bryce’s. Sigh. One of these days…
I am still trying to finish my honeymoon scrapbook. We will be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary in June!
