The explosive one-of-a-kind concert event known as Video Games Live is coming to video for the first time as Video Games Live: Level 2, set for release on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray + DVD combo set on October 19 from Shout! Factory along with 3+ hours of bonus features and previously unreleased music and video. Just in time to be a perfect holiday gift, Video Games Live: Level 2 is also currently being featured nationwide on PBS.
Featuring music from the greatest video games of all time as performed by top orchestras and choirs from around the world, Video Games Live: Level 2 features the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra performing along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, special fx, solo performers, percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments, creating a entirely unique entertainment experience.
Oh how I would love to take my son to something like this live, but in the meantime, this DVD is pretty cool to check out with the whole family (the bigger screen, the better!) My 6 year old may not recognize it all, my huband heard many favorites. The DVD features music from Super Mario Bros.™, The Legend of Zelda™, Sonic the Hedgehog™, Halo®, Warcraft®, Chrono Cross®, Castlevania®, Guitar Hero®, God of War™ and many more, as well as a special Classic Arcade Medley featuring games from Pong® to Dragon’s Lair and Tetris®, and more than three hours of bonus material.
