As I start typing up this post, I have delicious M&M Meat Shops items in my oven for lunch – which is probably what reminded me that I had some great info (and a giveaway!) to share with my readers! I’m so happy that we moved to a city that has an M&M Meat Shops store – I’ve missed having one nearby. Back when the franchise first came to Regina, SK, when I was a single retail-warrior, their single-serve meals were perfect for me. No prep, no buying a ton of groceries, but a delicious meal was still on the table. Over the years as I learned to cook, M&M Meat Shops favorites changed for me. I don’t buy as many single-serve meals anymore (well, none, really) but what I do purchase is their great appetizers and meals for lunch at home with just myself and a preschooler. When I did an M&M Meat Shops giveaway in October (here), I got a great list of reader favorites to try next.
With a $25 Gift Card in hand, I went to M&M Meat Shops last week to check out some holiday entertaining ideas. One item that readers raved about (and friends suggested to me as well) is the Oriental Party Pack.
The Oriental Party Pack consists of 12 mini Potstickers, 12 mini Vegetable Spring Rolls, 15-16 bite-sized pieces of Breaded Chicken Breast, and 15-16 bite-sized pieces of Breaded, Boneless Pork Loin. Approx. 60 pieces total. I also purchased a bottle of Plum Sauce and sampled each of the items that afternoon with my husband. My favorite of the 4 is the bite-sized Breaded Chicken Breast pieces, yum!
The Oriental Party Pack would be super when watching the game on tv with friends (stole that idea from my friend, heh), an afternoon snack attack with your husband, or like today as a light lunch idea.
Other great holiday appetizer ideas from M&M Meat Shops include these new Brie Bites – Rich creamy Brie is blended with strawberry, apple and caramelized onion fillings and tucked into flaky puff pastry.
Another delicious new appetizer from M&M Meat Shops and something worth trying is the Chicken Phyllo Collection – three different chicken blends each wrapped in flaky puff pastry. The collection includes Honey Dijon, caramelized onion and Mediterranean. Much better than pigs in a blanket, huh?
M&M Meats also has products to help out with your main course for holiday get togethers, to help save you time in the kitchen that could be better spent with family. Great ideas include Homestyle Seasoned Stuffed Chicken, or Stuffed Pasta Shells.
Desserts are always popular at M&M Meat Shops and one that I highly recommend is the Lavalicious Chocolate Chip Cookie! Don’t you just want to grab it right off the screen and eat it?
The Lavalicious Chocolate Chip Cookie can be cooked in the microwave or oven (I prefer the oven) and is perfect for a dessert or holiday-movie-watching treat. I’m so glad I tried it out for the first time this week…or maybe not considering this is going to turn into a major pregnancy craving.
Other great dessert treats from M&M Meat Shops for the holidays include Mini Cream Puffs, or the new Just Cheesecake – no crust, no topping, just 60% cream cheese made NY style (yum!!)
If heading out to a holiday party, bringing along an appetizer or dessert from M&M Meat Shops is a quick and easy way to surprise the host without cutting into your own prep time at home (getting beautiful takes awhile sometime, especially with kids at your ankles!)
