Released in October, Freddi Fish ABC Under the Sea is the 6th game in the Freddi Fish series for kids, and this one focuses on early letter recognition for children ages 3-5. Since Nevaeh is turning 3 this month and definitely needing some help with letter recognition, I thought this would be perfect for us to review. She’s a DS gamer like her brother, so giving her a learning game for her DS was great – I love when children can learn through play.
Focusing on skills such as letter recognition, vocabulary, spelling, counting, following directions, coloring and tracing, Freddi Fish ABC Under the Sea gives children a wide range of skills to work on at their own pace. For now, Nevaeh is happy tracing letters and counting and will soon move on to learning to identify all the letters correctly. I like that this game can grow with her.
Freddi Fish ABC Under the Sea is a great gift for little ones that are just learning about the alphabet, so age 3 is perfect. Of course, being skilled at using a Nintendo DS is helpful too of course, as they will need to use the stylus to trace and circle items on the screen.
