Miraclebody, from the makers of Miraclesuit (swimsuits), promises to make you look 10 pounds lighter in 10 seconds in their jeans. When I was offered the opportunity to check out the jeans myself, I was interested to see what the results would be.
I picked the Samantha style of jeans, because I liked the boot cut look and they looked closest to the other jeans I wear. A note here that all the jeans I wear are low-rise. I know this can be a horrid choice for women because it can result in the famous muffin-top look, but thankfully I have that under control (er, for the most part, I did have two kids after all!)
I note that I’m most comfortable with the low-rise style of jeans because that was what made me uncomfortable wearing the Samantha style jeans from MiracleBody. I think that is where the secret is with these jeans – a higher waistband with stretch denim to help keep your jiggly bits contained. The thing is, for someone who isn’t used to that style, it can feel very restricting. You can see through my shirt in the photo above (taken in early September for those friends in real life on baby bump watch, lol) and see where the top of the jeans rest.
I ordered the Miracle Body Samantha style jeans in a size 8 and the fit was pretty good. I might have been able to fit into a size 6 which may have added to the slimming effect, but then I think the higher waist would have bothered me even more. Trying the jeans myself, I can understand why they can help make you look slimmer, it’s the combination of the higher waistband and material. If you like a higher waistband (like my sister), these jeans may be just what you’re looking for!
