Parents of girls will relate to the frustration of having to change a swim diaper at the pool or lake. Oh how easy it was with my oldest, a boy. Simply pull of those little swim shorts, do a quick change, and voila the shorts went back on with ease. With girls, it’s such a struggle! Unless you put your 1 year old in a two-piece (and let’s be honest, the ones that look like little bikinis kind of freak me out), you are struggling in the change room like the rest of us.
First, you have to take the entire swimsuit off which is difficult when it’s wet. Once you switch out the swim-diaper you have a challenge that should be used on a game show. Getting a wet spandex swimsuit on a wiggling toddler makes me break out in a sweat! Again, boys have it easier – their swim shorts are always loose fitting – no spandex there!
One mom found her own solution to this annoyance, and the result is a company called SnapMe Swimwear!
The swimsuits available at SnapMe Swimwear have snaps at the bottom for super easy diaper changes and are the same price as regular swimsuits (they’re just a whole lot more clever!)
We were sent the same style of swimsuit as seen in this photo, in a size 3T. Nevaeh will be 3 in a few more months and she’ll be able to wear it from now until next Spring at least, if not longer!
The adjustable straps at the bottom (two rows) and at the top help this swimsuit last longer than standard ones too! Children can literally grow with them.
