Dakota’s Personalized Gifts (not located in either of the Dakotas as I once thought, but rather based in Illinois) is a one-stop shop for giftware and personalized items for the home.
Customers can search the store by navigating through categories based on the recipient, occasion or type of gift – I used all three to browse the site and found a number of items I’d like to have in our home.
We were sent 2 items from Dakota Gifts, the first being this Personalized Vacation Silver Picture Frame. Of course, because it’s personalized you don’t have to stick with the vacation theme at all and can highlight any family event.
I custom ordered ours to show our family name at the top and Summer 2010 at the bottom – I put a picture of us from the Calgary Zoo in there and it sits on a shelf in our bedroom now. The Personalized Vacation Silver Picture Frame holds a 4’6″ photo and is $24.95 at Dakota Gifts with free engraving.
The second item we received was this beautiful No Place Like Home Wall Canvas with our last name on it! I thought this was a great way to show family pride and to display it in our household. The wall canvas features one of my favorite sayings, “Home is where your story begins”.
Measuring 8″h x 20″w, the canvas has gallery wrapped edges making it perfect to hang all on its own without a frame (you could add a frame of course, if you want to). We opted to hang ours just as it is, it’s proudly displayed above the patio door in our kitchen.
The No Place Like Home Wall Canvas is $28.95 and would make the perfect housewarming gift, or wedding gift.
