Learning on the go. You really can’t beat that, when it comes to finding ways to keep the kids occupied when travelling this summer. Sure, there are always DVDs (which I am a big fan of!) and of course my 6 year old is forever occupied with his DS, but Nevaeh (who will be 3 this fall) is usually left to busy herself with books in the backseat on our travels. She loves watching Elijah play his DS but it’s much too advanced for her. Enter in the VTech MobiGo Touch Learning System, and insert a smiling mama here!
With a slide out QWERTY keyboard and touch-screen technology, kids can look like mom or dad busy “at work” on their gaming system, when we all know it’s all about fun (actually, my Blackberry, my third child, is pretty fun too…just sayin’). The system comes with one game cartridge which has been enough to keep Nevaeh occupied for weeks now. The Touch & Learn Game Pack cartridge features 6 games with two difficulty levels within each. Children learn concepts like identifying letters in the duckie Shooting Gallery game or drawing lines to complete shapes and lines helping Sam the Squirrel find his way home in Fantastic Forest, for example.
The friendly voice encourages little game players to try again, and helps out with instructions for every game. The graphics are clear and bright and the size of the VTech MobiGo makes it easy for little hands to handle. We used the VTech MobiGo on a recent road trip and made it there and back (and still at home later) without having to change the 4 AA batteries.
