We’re heading camping in a few weeks and one of the things I’m looking forward to most is playing in the lake with my kids. Sitting on the same beach I sat on as a child, building sandcastles, and running along the shore are all things I can’t wait to do! We may even take out a paddle boat or two. Stearns sent me a variety of thier products to use during our camping stay at the lake, which will help put my mind at ease.
When I was a kid, my only choice was one of the standard yellow and orange life jackets. Now, kids can have their favorite characters like Dora, Diego, Spiderman and more on their life jackets, making them more likley to enjoy wearing them.
We received a Dora The Explorer life jacket for Nevaeh, and looking at the selection online she’d be just as thrilled to have a Ni-Hao Kai-Lan life jacket as well! Elijah received a Diego children’s life jacket, making the kids a cute matching duo.
Made for children 30-50 lbs, Nevaeh is just on the lower end of the scale, if at all, so we were also sent an Infant Life Jacket for children 0-30 lbs. Of the two, the Children’s Life Jacket fits better but we will have to weigh her to be sure she is ready for it.
This is the first year that I’ve noticed Puddle Jumpers in stores, and I think they look so fun! Forget those blow-up arm sleeves we used as kids (were those not the hardest things to get on and off ever??), Puddle Jumpers are the easy (and safe) way to help new swimmers gain confidence in the water.

Once the frolicking in the water is done and the kids are on the beach building sandcastles with dad, it’s time for me to chill out on a Convertable Lounger, specifically this one from Sevylor! Does the logo at the top look familiar? If so, it’s probably because chances are you’ve used a Sevylor product for water fun in the past. They’ve recently become part of the Coleman company – what a great pairing!
