The WeeRide Kangaroo Center-Mounted Child Bicycle Carrier (wow that’s a mouthful) is one of those review products that got used within hours of receiving it. Sometimes an item sits for a day or two before our family can get to it but in this case, it didn’t stand a chance!
My husband had it installed on his bike within minutes and that evening we headed out for our very first bike ride outing as a family. This says a lot! I have not been on my bike since before we had kids, and Elijah just turned 6 this month.
With two kids at such different stages of bike riding (Elijah has mastered two wheels while Nevaeh is just learning how to ride tricycles) it was impossible to go anywhere on bikes, even if my husband and I were walking.
The WeeRide Kangaroo Carrier is appealing to toddlers because they can be front and center (who wants to stare at someone’s back the whole time?) so Nevaeh had no problem trying it out.
It took no time at all to instal and once it was on, I actually tipped my head to the side and said, “Is she really going to fit in that?” because it’s really not a big obtrusive addition to the bike. She fits perfectly in the Kangaroo Carrier at 2 and a half and about 28 lbs. The carrier can support children 12 months and older, up to 40 lbs.
We had so much fun on our first bike ride as a family – Elijah was proudly showing off his skills riding a two-wheel bike without a parent running at his side, and Nevaeh was giggling, squealing and yelling, “Faster daddy, faster!” It was one of those precious moments that I hope I remember for a long long time.
