Body Drench

Body Drench has been a familiar name for me for years now. Back in the year before I was married I worked in a tanning and esthetics salon as a receptionist (which also included such non-glamorous jobs as cleaning sweaty tanning beds, ewwww!) and Body Drench was one of the brands we sold. People love Body Drench indoor tanning products (as did I) because they always went on smooth, smelled great, and enhanced your tan.

Over a year ago now I was told by my dermatologist that suntanning was not a good idea for me anymore so no more tanning beds for me. I can still get a great tan outdoors with a little sun exposure but I’ve been looking into sunless tanning sprays and lotions as well.Body Drench sent me two of their sunless tanners to try out. The Whipped Chocolate Self Tanning Mousse is a delicious light product that applies easily on skin (you want something that will go on quickly and easily, not too thick, to avoid streaks and patches). Results can be (and were) seen in 2 hours. This product totally reminded me of the indoor tanning lotions I used in the past – it smells like delicious chocolate just like the tanning lotion I had (which was probably Body Drench back then too). The rest of the day I was reminded of the days when I used to tan religiously, just from the yummy smell. Later that day I noticed some color on my arms and legs, a nice warm sunkiss, not too dark and best of all no streaks! I wanted to try the other product later that week so I didn’t use more of the Whipped Chocolate Self Tanning Mousse. If you want to maintain your tan you would need to keep applying the mouse every few days as it’s going to wash off eventually.

The Quick Tan Sunless Tanning Mist from Body Drench is the perfect product for achieving an all over sunless tan. You can apply the mist in hard to reach areas like the back of thighs, your back, etc. I don’t worry too much about full coverage like in my arm pits, etc., (I remember back in my tanning days my underarms were always lighter, evidence of a tanning bed!) but I like being able to reach the back of my thighs for an all-over tan. It looks a little bit like you’re spray painting yourself (essentially that’s what you’re doing) but it’s easy to blend in later. I liked the feel of this on my skin and it dries super fast so you can get dressed right away.

I learned, when working at the salon, how important it is to moisturize our skin – suntanning or not. Moisturized skin is healthy skin and Body Drench also has a great selection of moisturizing lotions. I was sent 3 different scents to try (Island Breeze, Lavender Fields and Citrus Blossoms) and of the 3 Citrus Blossoms is my favorite. The bottles are huge and 1 will last me through the entire summer for sure.1 of my readers is going to win a great prize pack from Body Drench consisting of the Whipped Chocolate and Body Drench Sunless Tanners as well as a Body Drench Moisturizing Lotion!
