Organizing is an ongoing task after a move. I have learned that it’s best to try and unpack items and put them where you want them rather than accumulating a “leave it for later” box or in my case room full of boxes with that label. Rubbermaid is a company full of great ideas and products to help you get and stay organized. I am thinking about getting one of their Closet & Shelving products for our master bedroom (once its complete, that is).
When I posted photos of my kitchen paint reno, did you notice the huge pantry in the corner? This is the first time I’ve had one and I love it so much!
Of course, I’m a little bit like a kid in a candy store in that I keep filling it with items, without much organizing. Rubbermaid sent me their Modular Canisters to get started on organizing my pantry.
I like that each of the 4 different sized canisters has measurements on the side – this is an easy way to see if you have enough sugar or flour left on a rainy day when deciding to make cookies! I also liked that the lids are all the same size, so if they are in a cupboard empty (which I doubt they will be) I won’t be digging around for the perfect match.
With so many items in my pantry that could use their own Rubbermaid Modular Canister, I wasn’t sure where to start but baking items seemed like the logical first step.
Now my flour, sugar, brown sugar and oatmeal are all stacked neatly in my pantry, saving me space and making me look even just a little bit more organized (notice I didn’t include a photo of the rest of the pantry!)
