In December, Bumkins was featured on my site when I checked out their adorable Dr. Suess themed bibs for the holidays. Today, Bumkins is back and we’re taking a look at their new diaper bags. The irony here is that Bumkins is known for another product entirely – their line of cloth diapers are what the Bumkins brand was founded on and it continues to be a huge appeal to customers. Now that they have expanded their product line, moms like me can appreciate the Bumkins brand as well (I never used cloth diapers so the Bumkins wasn’t on my radar).
I was sent the Grande Diaper Bag from Bumkins in the Flutter Floral design as seen above. I picked this one because I loved the color combo and the design on the bag. Having a toddler, I definitely don’t want a bag that screams ‘baby!’ but still need a bag when we go on trips to the city to carry diapers, wipes, sippy cups and her EpiPen. This bag is great because it serves as a carry-all for me as well. I can toss in my wallet, Blackberry and keys and we’re good to go.
I really liked that this bag had several pockets for all the little things we carry with us (3 on the outside and 4 inside), and the change pad that’s included is a nice bonus. I don’t often take a change-pad out with me but hey if it matches the bag and fits in nicely, why not.
The only feature of the bag that I personally didn’t like was the ribbon-tie closure. Because of the amount of items I carry in there, including my wallet, I’d like the bag to have a zipper or magnet/button closure at the top but of course this is all a personal preference.
