Think of clogs and what image comes to mind? A stiff shoe that you rarely wear? What about shoes that have a reinforced padded instep, anatomically shaped footbed and a shock-absorbing flexible PU sole? Sanita takes the original Danish clog and makes it not only fashionable but also foot-friendly.
Sanita sent me the Professional Cabrio Clog in brown to review. The sizing threw me off for a bit – I ordered a size 38 (7.5 – 8 US) and probably should have ordered a 39 (8.5 – 9 US) but there’s no way to know this ahead of time (I’m a size 8). The FAQ states that the shoes should fit so that you have a 1/4″ (pinky finger’s width) between the heel of your foot and the back of the clog and mine doesn’t have that. Because the upper part of the shoe is made with leather, I am hoping that once they stretch a bit they will fit a bit better in the heel.
Once (if) these shoes fit, they will be great to wear with jeans this spring. Until then, I will wear them in while watching the snow fall!
