Casio EX-FS10

What is one of your biggest pet peeves using a digital camera? One of mine has always been that when I try and take a picture of one of my kids doing something absolutely adorable, by the time it actually “decides” to take the photo, the moment has passed. This especially irritates me when my son is participating in activities – off he goes to jump in the pool and I’m left with a photo of the water splashing.

The coolest feature about the Casio EX-FS10 takes care of that annoyance for me! High Speed Burst enables you to take up to 30 frames per second with just the push of a button (can also be set to take 3, 5, 10, or 15!) The camera stores the multiple photos to a buffer memory which you go through after words and select which one(s) to save to the camera’s memory card. The first time I tried the camera, I just did 5 shots at a time and was really amazed by how easy it was to use.

This 9.1 megapixel camera has a ton of other great features including the ability to shoot 1280 x 720-pixel HD movies at a rate of 30 fps, and another favorite the Best Shot Mode which has 27 different options to get you the best shot given the conditions around you (low light, portrait, etc). I’ve had this camera for a month now and have barely scratched the surface of all the features and capabilities of it!

If you have the same frustration I did about missing out on the perfect action shot with the kids, the Casio EX-FS10 is definitely worth looking into. The estimated retail price is $299 US but I think now during holiday sales and of course after Christmas, you may be able to find it for less. Happy hunting!
