Last month, I brought you a great giveaway from Australian based ErgoPouch, home of the award winning Baby Sleeping Bags. I didn’t review a Baby Sleeping Bag myself but I was privileged enough to be sent 3 Pajama Sets from ErgoPouch and I’m happy to be able to share my opinion on them with you!
Made with bamboo fibers, ErgoPyjamas stay 2-3 degrees cooler in warm weather and warmer in cool weather. They’re Hypo-allergenic / Anti-bacterial / Anti-fungal / Anti-static and absorb 2-3 times more water than regular cotton. There’s more – they’re chemical free and of course eco friendly since they’re made of bamboo and no pesticides are used. That’s a lot of positive features about ErgoPajamas but are the added benefits worth it?
Consider that I live in Canada and so it’s already almost below freezing overnight and we will have snow by next weekend. This makes it difficult to keep my toddler warm at night because of course she rolls around in her crib and her blanket gets tossed. I don’t want to dress her too warm though because, thankfully, our furnace does keep our house warm at night. What’s a mom to do?
For the past few weeks, I’ve had my daughter in the Bamboo Mild Weight Pyjamas and they’ve been great! I know that she’s kept warm based on the guide on ErgoPouch and if she happens to get too warm under her blanket, the natural bamboo will help wick away moisture from her body. Further on into the winter, I can then put her in the Bamboo Warm Weight Pyjamas (we can get to -50 Celsius here with the windchill). Actually, the Warm Weight Pyjamas would also make a good daytime play outfit in the winter as well!
