I was happy when ABC picked up Scrubs after it was not renewed last year at the end of the seventh season by its original network. I get a kick out of Dr. John Michael “J.D.” Dorian’s comments and his daydreams. The writing is great and you don’t need to have worked in a hospital to appreciate the comedy as the story lines cover not only work, but the character’s personal lives as well.
In the eighth season, I loved Courtney Cox’ addition to the team as Dr.Maddox and would have liked to see her stick around. In this season, the characters consider their own relationships and make some tough choices. The two-part finale sees J.D. deciding to leave Sacred Heart Hospital and was met with tears from viewers (who’d have thought Scrubs could bring you to any tears besides tears of laughter!)
