I like the philosophy behind Skinn Cosmetics. By keeping overhead prices low, the company is able to offer you a superior product without paying an outrageous price for it. How? Minimal advertising (mainly through televised home shopping, the Internet and exclusive, privately owned spas throughout North America) instead of expensive marketing campaigns and Park Avenue offices. I recently had the opportunity to try Skinn’s Orchid Gel Mattefying Day Treatment ($30/57ml). The directions state to use the product over your regular skin treatments or even over your makeup for a matte finish. Since I don’t wear foundation/makeup I wasn’t sure if the product was for me. It is, it is!! 
The Orchid Gel Mattefying Day Treatment smells like candy and is a hyper infused lilac color. I decided to apply it after my regular cleansing routine. I used just a small amount and was…amazed (I hate using that word but I can’t think of a different one right now) at how it felt on my skin. First, the product goes on so smooth and then right under my finger tips I can feel it turning into a light powder. So, essentially it’s like using a powder on your face but also getting the benefit of a cream (that also happens to smell like candy!) I much prefer using this day treatment instead of a foundation or other powder. It doesn’t feel heavy but keeps my face baby soft all day. My husband was surprised by how soft it was too! For $10, you can get a 14ml jar to try for yourself (have I mentioned how cool it is that this company does not charge $70 for this?)
