Immediately upon opening my box of goodies from Finesse, an old commercial jingle popped into my head. “Sometimes you need a little Finesse, sometimes you need a lot!” I guess whomever created it should be paid well because it’s been years since I’ve heard the jingle but I remember it well.
Did you use Finesse years ago? Maybe you use it now. I haven’t used Finesse for years. My mom used to purchase it when I was a pre-teen (which was before the term tween was ever used) and when I started using my new Finesse products a few weeks ago, the scent took me back instantly to my childhood. I love how scents can do that! So, the product smells the same as I remember, but how does it perform?
My 11 year old self did not care about moisturizing benefits or hair volume, but I do now. I took my Finesse Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner with me on a recent vacation so that I essentially would be forced to use it without forgetting and grabbing for another favorite. This way, my hair received only Finesse products for the 6 days we were away. The Moisturizing Shampoo cleanses while it nourishes – I didn’t need a lot of product for it to go a long way. The Moisturizing Conditioner smooths away frizzies with a silk and soy protein formula. I didn’t need much conditioner at all in my thick hair. I was happy with the result using these products exclusively for the 6 days. Actually, in the photo of me in my post titled The New Me, that’s Finesse hair there!
My favorite feature of Finesse is still the scent. It lingers in my hair long after my shower and I like the fresh scent throughout the day. I also have the Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner from Finesse, which is a volumizing formula that is touted to make fine, flat hair up to 5 times fuller and thicker. I have thick hair already (a curse sometimes) so I am sharing this one with a friend! Finesse also of course has styling products like mousse and hairsprays.
