Crunchy Cute is an Etsy store (there’s also a regular online site as well) specializing in handmade coupon and cash organizers. When I received an email from the owner of this store, I was definitely interested! See, I have used coupons for years now. The coupons really started becoming important when I was pregnant with my first and learned how I could stack (use more than one coupon for the same item) coupons at one particular store. I also, thanks to great money saving websites, learned how to maximize my coupons to get the best deal (using a buy 1 get 1 free coupon on a clearance item makes my heart race!) The problem many people say they have with coupon clipping is that they forget to bring them with them shopping. Stuffing coupons in your wallet doesn’t work either because they take up too much room. My method until now? A little white envelope. It keeps them altogether but then I’m rifling through them before I get to the cash register picking out what I need and looking for misplaced ones.
Now though, I have a fabulous coupon organizer from Crunchy Cute – watch out cashiers because this frugal mama is organized and ready to shop!
The organizer is an accordion style folder system that is designed to be cute as well as functional. Inside there are 13 pockets and customers are sent 12 tabs that you can write on and personalize yourself. Using it as a coupon organizer, my tabs say things like “Diapers”, “Food”, “Cleaning”, etc.
The organizers can also be used for people who are trying to budget by moving to a cash only system. Popular tv shoes advocate putting money in glass jars but that doesn’t work very well for carrying them to the grocery store! This way, you can put money inside of each pocket specifically for budget spending. Tabs used could be “Food”, “Entertainment”, “Diapers”, etc.
