HomeAway is holding a contest that I could get behind! Basically, they are petitioning congress in the US to declare August 7th “National Vacation Day”.
With the economy in turmoil right now, we’re all stressed at what is supposed to be the most fun family time of the year. Many families are opting for a stay-cation this year, at home. We’re not, as I couldn’t bear to stay at home on vacation in this beautiful summer weather. While we’re all trying to save money, we also have to take care of our emotional health too and for me that means vacay!!

While on the site, you can enter to win a $10,000 vacation getaway to the vacation rental of the winner’s choice! Two runners up will receive a $5000 getaway. While looking through all the choices, it was hard to pick just one to decide where I’d love to get a vacation rental courtesy of HomeAway. They have vacation rentals across the world!
Friends of ours recently did something like this on a trip out to California and they were so happy with their choice. I had actually started looking into Vacation Rentals before I had even heard about HomeAway Vacation Rentals, so this site will be bookmarked now for sure!
Which one would you pick? I think I could see myself in Baja, Mexico, soaking up the sun while the kids play in the sand…ahhhhh bliss!
