Pam's Pantry (closed)

Summer is here, and with it comes backyard BBQ’s, countless wedding and baby showers, and lazy days at the cabin. Making a huge meal is best saved for the holidays, and more often than not snacking is the way to go.

Pam’s Pantry is a fabulous little online site packed full of gourmet dip mixes, dressings and spreads. Made with no added fillers or preservatives, the items at Pam’s Pantry are perfect for summer get togethers because they are all pre-mixed into packages so all YOU have to do is add some fresh ingredients from your fridge (cream cheese or mayo for example) and you’re done. With the recipe for the particular dip right on the package, these are easy to slip into the bag for a trip to the cabin or to an afternoon backyard party.

All the mixes on the site can be purchased for $3.75 each and shipping is free in the US for orders over $20!

I was sent several different delectable mixes to try from Pam’s Pantry and although I haven’t tried them all just yet, the quality is there in my opinion from what I’ve sampled so far.

I love dill and the Definitely Dill dip mix from Pam’s Pantry is great if you like a strong dill dip! It’s great for veggies but my favorite use for it is with chicken fingers. All I had to do was add the package to 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream and I was done!

Oh, the longer you let the flavors mix before using it, the better it tastes so give it at least an hour to sit in the fridge before serving.

My second favorite from the dip mixes I tried was the Cheesy Garlic mix. Add the package to 8oz cream cheese and 1 cup sour cream, and you’ve got a snappy garlic spread for crackers and more. Pam’s Pantry suggests it as a topping for burgers and I think it would be awesome on them too.

I was also sent some yummy sounding fruit dip mixes from Pam’s Pantry that I haven’t had the opportunity to try yet. I am most eager to try the Creamsicle Dreamsicle dip mix.

Just looking at the picture makes me want to whip it up this afternoon, and likely eat it all! Adding 1 package of mix to 8oz cream cheese and an 8oz container of Cool Whip makes about 3 cups of dip! Pam’s Pantry suggests this dip would be delicious as a spread for muffins or even as a cheesecake mix.

The ideas are really endless when using these dip mixes. Pam’s Pantry even has a recipe area of the site where you can choose different ways to use the mixes in your everyday cooking as well.

You can’t really go wrong for a $3.75 dip mix that has more flavor variety and tastes better than anything you’d find at the local supermarket. Right now the site only lists the shipping fees for shipping within the US but if Canadians are interested in ordering they can simply email Pam’s Pantry and inquire (it wasn’t much at all to ship my samples to me).
