Giveaways and Reviews

Madi Couture (closed)

Madi Couture is back on Feisty Frugal and Fabulous this month, because of the overwhelming success we had when we teamed up in March for a review and giveaway of a fabulous handbag from the Madi Couture site. I had so much fun working with Mandy and am so glad to have her back on my blog this month.

If you didn’t read the original review I did of Madi Couture, let me sum up a few quick details about the company. Based in Calgary, Alberta, Madi Couture was created when Mandy had her first baby (after working in retail, pregnant and in heels no less!) and realized there was a lack of couture products for moms and babies available online, especially in Canada. So, what does a resourceful mama do in this case? She creates her own online store!

The Madi Couture site features clothing and accessories for children, moms, and the in between fun of little ones trying to be just like mommy. You won’t find any off-the-rack mass produced products here – what you will find are the hottest fashions and items worn by moms in LA and New York.

Take, for example, the newest addition to Madi Couture, James Jeans for baby (worn by non other than Violet Affleck). Staring at $135.00, James Jeans are available from Madi Couture from size 6-12 months up to 6T.

Madi Couture also features JWLA, a brand worn by those in-the-know in Los Angeles. Mandy sent me a JWLA Freedom Heart Hooded Jacket to review (available from Madi Couture for $245.00). Happy Mother’s Day to me!

The jacket is 95% cotton and 5% spandex which gives it the perfect fit. I like that the jacket is form fitting and doesn’t hang on my body.

The stunning thing about this jacket is the immense attention to detail in the embroidery. I read that JWLA features embroidery in their clothing line, but was expecting maybe a piece here or there of embroidery with the rest being a large patch sewn on. I was positively surprised to see that every single color detail on the jacket is embroidered on!

The jacket looks great with jeans and is light enough to wear in the Spring and Summer here in SK (it would look great unzipped with a pair of denim capris and a tee).

The sizing is really great with JWLA. I was hesitant to choose a size medium even though Mandy explained that the jackets fit perfectly, even a little big. I picked large and though it fits great, I would have been just as happy with a medium (it would have been even more form fitting than it is).

Right now for 10 days only until Mother’s Day, Madi Couture is featuring the JWLA at 25% off!

Mandy at Madi Couture has a fabulous giveaway for readers of Feisty Frugal and Fabulous just in time for Mother’s Day. Last month, we gave away a Mimi & Marge handbag. This month, 1 reader is going to win a $50 Gift Certificate to Madi Couture! You can put it toward a handbag, a JWLA item, or any other item on the site!

To enter, just go to Madi Couture and tell me what you would spend your $50 gift certificate on, or put towards, if you won!
