I have been working on a project for the past few days and completed it recently. Ok, that’s a bit of a lie. I have again been the foreman on a project and my husband has been the one doing it, but the point is that it’s done and it looks fabulous! Want to see?
How awesome is that?! I am so very happy with my new vinyl wall letters and wall art, it makes me smile every time I walk downstairs to our family room area (den…whatever you call it) and see this wall.
This product, from Expressive Walls, is the Personalized Name and Polka Dots design and it’s new! Customers are able to choose the name(s) and up to 4 colors for the polka dots. As well, the size of the entire package can be adjusted as well (does not have to be as large as mine). Sandi from Expressive Walls was so great to work with. I simply gave her my name choices, as well as what colors I thought would work best. We discussed different variations on the color themes (blue text or brown? more polka dot colors or less?) and finally came up with this great design. It’s just perfect and matches my decor perfectly!
Putting this huge design up was a 2 day project, only because my husband had to leave for work after getting the names up and it was a team effort to figure out which polka dots should go where.
This design took more time and patience than other designs I’ve done because the pieces were so big and we had to ensure that the full piece was sticking to the clear adhesive paper, and then that the full piece was sticking to the wall. The extra attention to detail is worth it though, with such a stunning design being the result.

Another design that really caught my eye was the new French Decor Headboard.
How many of you have a headboard on your bed? I don’t, as the bedroom set we bought had a matching headboard for the size of bed we had several years ago.
After two kids and co sleeping in the beginning with both, we soon moved up to a King size bed! I love that a simple design like this can add the look of a fancy headboard.
Aside from the great Wall Art on the site, Expressive Walls has great wall lettering as well. My favorite, and something I haven’t seen on any other vinyl wall art sites, is the O Quotes – Quotes From Oprah Winfrey series! How cool is that? By the way, each area of the site, including this one, has a Bestsellers list on the left hand side. This is a great way to narrow down your choices and see what’s popular if you’re choosing a gift for someone else or even second-guessing your own choice.
