If you are looking for Natural products with a capital N, Breathe Naturals is the place you should be checking out. Plain and simple, I have not tried any other natural bath and body products that are as pure-feeling and smelling as these products.
What does this mean? Well, what I have learned is that a large number of the products from Breathe are made right from scratch, using natural fragrances in the form of essential oils. They do not use any artificial colors or scents. I had no idea that the sweet smell of vanilla that I’m used to in other “natural” products I have tried is actually not as pure as I thought.
Jill from Breathe Natural Bath and Body Products sent me the 240ml hand soap in Vanilla & Peppermint blend to try. She told me ahead of time that the vanilla scent is likely not the kind I am used to and she was right. The peppermint smell is unmistakable but if I were blindfolded I wouldn’t be able to pick out the other scent as vanilla. It’s a more raw, base scent and now I have to wonder what exactly is in the other so-called natural products I have tried that smelled like vanilla (artificial scents – who knows?)
I keep this product by my kitchen sink. I wash my hands a lot through the day and one of my annoyances with soap in the kitchen is that I hate when my hands smell like the soap I used when I’m about to prepare food, because the last thing I want is my food smelling like soap from my hands. I noticed when using this soap, my hands didn’t feel all pampered and lotioned after…that’s because the Liquid Hand Wash from Breathe washes clean – it does what it is supposed to do. My hands didn’t dry out either, it seems like the perfect balance.
