The Day After Grocery Shopping Day

It’s a good day. It’s the day after grocery-shopping day, don’t you love that day? Limitless possibilities for snacks and meals, and no opening the cupboards wondering what on earth to make for dinner. I love that! I wish every day was day-after-grocery-shopping day! This time I did what all money-saving experts tell you to, and I made a list of meals for the week. Not lunch, because lunch is kind of a free for all in my house. My son usually wants a PB&J sandwich lately, glass of milk, and some fruit. My 16 month old is happy with some pasta and veggies or fruit. Me? I pick at snacks here and there while feeding the kids (I know I’m not the only one who eats last on the food chain during the day with the kids!) Just a few notes I wanted to share today….

The Madi Couture giveaway ends tonight…with just over 600 entries right now, wow!!! You’ve spoken by numbers in this contest, and I’m on a mission to find readers more fabulous products like the bag from Mimi & Marge offered up in this giveaway. I think we’ll be seeing more of Madi Couture on Feisty Frugal and Fabulous in the future!

The Dapple giveaway has an additional entry option. Follow Dapple on Twitter (@dapplebaby) for an additional entry!

I’m just getting used to Twitter myself and haven’t added following me on Twitter as an entry option for giveaways (except for T-Shirt Monster as a test run). I don’t honestly ‘get’ Twitter and why it’s so fabulous but I’m learning.

The other night when I was picking winners for 5 contests that ended, almost every contest had me finding people that either didn’t have their email address listed in their profile or in their comment, or better yet no public profile at all! If your winning comment says “I subscribe” and your email address isn’t listed, there’s no way for me to know if you really do and second, no way for me to contact you! Onto the next winner it is! If you’ve been entering blog contests for awhile, and have never won, check your profile! Is it public? Is your email address listed? I can’t believe how many people are literally wasting their own time entering contests they automatically disqualify themselves from. I shake my head.

Thanks to my readers who email me about my blog – I appreciate the emails and it’s great to hear feedback and your thoughts on blog contests in general out there.

That’s all! My coffee is getting cold! <----- Last week I thought of something brilliant, using a travel mug instead of a coffee cup. It keeps my coffee warm much longer. I forgot to do that today! So much for brilliancy, it comes and goes.
