There are so many great companies emerging with environmentally safe (and human-safe!) products and for that we’re all happy! Dapple is a company that makes all natural based cleaning products specifically for households with children. The company says the products are baby safe and baby specific! What does this mean? Well basically Dapple products are not only safe for babies but they are also made to tackle specific baby messes (sticky fingerprints, dried crusty milk on the inside of sippy cups, etc.)
Dapple has finally been the answer to the highchair cleaning dilemma I’ve been having. I’m a total germ-o-phobe, so using a dish cloth to wipe the highchair tray off totally grosses me out. I would always grab a new cloth each time to clean off the chair (as if I don’t have enough laundry!) Yet, using any type of chemical spray on the highchair was not a good option either (even those handy wipes for wiping baby’s hands and face, what’s in those anyway?)
Dapple Toy Cleaner Spray can be used to clean off toys, of course, but also works as a great cleaner for high chairs, stroller trays, basically anywhere where baby touches that you don’t want chemical residue to be left. We have been using this exclusively as a high chair tray cleaner and I love it! The lavender scent is quite light, barely noticeable but a nice added touch.
Another item we have had the opportunity to try is the Dapple Toy Cleaner Wipes! I have a friend who uses a bleach/water mixture to clean her kid’s toys when they are sick with the flu, etc., and I felt bad because I don’t do that. Although I think it’s good to clean the toys (obviously!) I’m also torn about using bleach on something that would eventually make its way into my daughter’s mouth. How long does the residue stay on the toys? Now that I have these Toy Cleaner Wipes, I can safely clean toys and when Nevaeh pops them back in her mouth I know that if there is anything left on the toy, it’s not going to poison her.
