We have discovered, in the words of my four year old, the “coolest ever cars there ever was”. Just so you know. Really though, these cars are pretty awesome and this is coming from a mom that typically rolls her eyes at shows like Pimp My Ride, etc.
RIDEMAKERZ takes the fun of model car building and combines it with the excitement of remote-control cars with total car customization added in! The RIDEMAKERZ experience can be had online or at a RIDEMAKERZ shop (much like the bear building shops we’ve all seen, but RIDEMAKERZ is louder and more revved up!)
Parents and kids together can go online to build the ultimate ride with customizing options in body styles and colors, tires and wheels, lights and sounds, accessories and decals! These are not no-name body styles either. RIDEMAKERZ has licensing deals with several car companies, so your little guy or gal can pick from models like the Dodge Ram, Ford Mustang, or the awesome ride we got, the Dodge Viper.
Elijah was so excited when he saw the RIDEMAKERZ box (and so was his dad). Inside our review-box was a Dodge Viper, complete with a ton of accessories including wheels and rims, exhaust pipes, a spoiler, decals, and a radio-remote control making our ride into a custom remote controlled car (radio remote control is $25, but you can choose to keep your ride Free-Wheel).
The two of them had a great time putting together the car and customizing it with decals. Then it was time to let ‘er rip and squeals erupted from his baby sister when Elijah started up the car (it revs like a real engine, complete with the beep of keyless entry or car alarm) and raced it across the kitchen floor.
We love the authentic look of the car, this isn’t a ‘cheap’ remote-control car from a department store; the car looks and sounds like real car and kids even as young as 4 can appreciate having something that doesn’t sound like a toy. As a mom, I’m happy that this car is built well – I gasped when it went, quite literally, flying down the stairs a few days ago. As a 4 year old, Elijah doesn’t quite know how to corner as well as his dad does. Thankfully through, RIDEMAKERZ are built well and can take a tumble and keep on tearing up the streets…ur…kitchen.
