You may have already started your holiday shopping, or perhaps you’re just doing some research now before you head out in December during the peak holiday shopping rush (some people thrive on that atmosphere!) Wherever you are in that journey, here are some tips to help you navigate the holiday shopping season this year like a shopping expert (yes, that title actually exists because, well, it’s 2017!)
• Do Your Research: Canadians love a good bargain. A recent survey found that 57 per cent of Canadians surveyed shop online looking for better pricing. You can use online shopping to compare prices so you can help ensure you get the best deal without having to face a crowded mall, but going from one website to another is time consuming. Plus, you may have deals right in your own city and could miss out on them and pay shipping because you didn’t do your research!
Instead, I suggest downloading the Flipp App to help you plan your shopping well ahead of time.

• Cut shipping costs: Many stores offer reduced or even free shipping with a minimum dollar amount spent. Think about how many people you can cross off your list from one retailer – it can help save you time and money.

OMG Flipp App….where have you been? I just downloaded it to my phone…it is wonderful! I type in the product I am looking for and it tells me where I can buy it and at what prices. I am fortunate in that there are three grocery stores close to where I live…and I do shop at two of them on a regular basis….now my shopping is just going to be that more focused….Hurray for the Flipp App!

The Flipp app saves me so much time as I used to go through all the paper flyers. Now I can just scan them and find the best prices.
My favourite thing about Flipp is the rebate coupons feature. For some reason, cashiers always seem to give me a hard time for using coupons so I stopped using coupons until I started using Flipp. The rebate coupons allow to me avoid all the coupon confusion and still save money! I also love that you can scan a barcode of a product to see if the coupon applies before purchasing it.

I am new to this so I visited Flipp.com. I typed in a few of my kids Christmas wish list items and was immediately impressed. For example, Magformers showed me different sets, different stores and the various prices. Flipp is going to make a world of difference in my shopping!! I like how it tags that the product is “Online”. I anticipate doing more online shopping now. I am excited about freeing up my time, saving money, time and gas, skipping the crows and long lines…and getting my items right to my door! I added several items to my Shopping List already. I have been using Flipp forever! I love it… I don’t use it for everything like I should but I love for the search!!! If I want lean ground beef I type it in the search and it brings it up in every flyer in my area. Then I search the flyers that it brings up to do my lists.
