We’re In The School Year Home Stretch: Lunch Inspiration

Now that Spring is officially here, summer vacation can be seen on the distant horizon. While the thrill of brand new lunch kits and containers wore off pretty quickly by Halloween for me, it’s in the last few months of the school year that I definitely need some motivation and inspiration to keep school lunches interesting.

Here are my top picks from US-based BabyCubby.com:

skip_hop_zoo_backpack_-_unicorn

I love the adorable selection of Skip Hop Backpacks, but in my household Unicorns are a big deal right now, so this would be the perfect little bit of magic to add to our daily routine. It’s small enough that my 6 year old can easily – and proudly – wear it! Skip Hop ZOO Pack Little Kid Backpacks-Unicorn ($19.99 USD)

owlBumkins Cold Packs help keep lunch cold now that the weather is warming up (all winter long, I was happily concerned with keeping soups warm!) Bonus, these adorable little friends also work to help soothe bumps and bruises. Bumkins Cold Pack $5.95 USD

soyoung_lunchbox_-_orange_fox_front_1

This Orange Fox Lunchbox is toddler sized and sits upright so you can easily pop in a sippy cup or water bottle plus a removable mess bag for easy clean-ups (my kid’s lunch boxes are not looking very good right now, so this feature caught my eye!) SoYoung Toddler Lunchbox – Orange Fox $24.99 USD

lunch_mail_-_food

While the beginning of the school year is likely the highest point for anxiety, any time of the year is a good time to send along a little message of love and motivation. I love these Lunch Mail cards and know my girls would have such fun opening them when they discover it in their lunch! Lunch Mail Note Cards (24 count) $4.95 USD

Orders over $49 qualify for free shipping within the continental USA.
