We’re finally getting settled into our new home, and I can tell you that it truly feels like home now. Photos are up on the wall, new carpet has been put in and – what made the biggest impact for sure – new paint throughout the house has helped make this house our own. You can see all our before photos here, and now I’m so happy to share the transformation photos below!
Some pictures present better than others in the daylight, but I hope you can get a general sense of how amazing the transformation was by simply adding a change of color to our house to make it our own!
For those asking, here’s the photo of the swatch we used. The main color is CIL Veil which is a pretty light to medium grey and the feature color is CIL Obsidian Glass!
Oh, and one more before/after of our staircase – not a paint project but the carpet makes all the difference too (and Home Depot happens to have carpet as well!)

We absolutely love the transformation and now, finally, our new house truly feels like home. That in itself is priceless, but it’s good to know that spending a bit on a few gallons of paint will make it happen. 😉
New paint does make a difference. I like the grey especially in the bathroom. Is that a mirror above the bathtub?
No, it’s two large windows! Beautiful for natural light and they’re obscured so that you can’t actually see through them, which is rather important to note, LOL!

Thank you! It was a risk going so dark for the accent but I felt since it wasn’t on a huge area, it was worth the risk – and it paid off!

I really like the colours you picked out. I find the biggest change is in the living room, and while it looked good before, it now looks like it has more energy to it. It seems more inviting.
