I have never had as much fun choosing a stroller as I did when determining which phil&teds smart stroller to review! Instead of being limited by just a few colors like most strollers offer, the smart stroller gives you the power to choose from over 200 color combinations!
You simply start with your (black) stroller frame, then choose a seat color from 7 colors! The seat is soft and spongy aerocore™, is hypo-allergenic, insulating, ventilating, UV resistant, waterproof, non toxic and simply wipes clean! Amazing!
Next, you choose your adjustable sun hood from 7 color choices, and then finish off the look by accessorizing with a comfy foam liner for an extra punch of color! The liner isn’t necessary but it sure looks fabulous when it’s all put together!
While a stroller can look all kinds of fabulous, it needs to function well in order for it to be an all-around great purchase. The phil&teds smart stroller is perfect as a lightweight city stroller for shopping, zoo trips, and park trips. At 53cm wide, it’s super-easy to maneuver this stroller through tight spaces like door entry-ways (I once had to take a jogging stroller back to my car when I couldn’t get it through the tight entryway into a local grocery store!) It’s truly lightweight and not just marketing – 17lbs makes this stroller feather-light to take in and out of the vehicle.
Other features I liked were that the seat can face you, or forward, giving parents the ability to have more contact when baby is little (it comes with car seat adapters to snap in your car seat!), and allowing baby to see the world when they are a bit older. I love this feature for malls and other places where good-intentioned people with germy-hands like to reach in to touch babies!
I wanted to show off the fabric of both the aerocore seat and fabric liner in the pictures above. I think any baby would be challenged to get the seat dirty in a way that couldn’t be wiped clean (and I know many babies up for that type of challenge, actually.)
With such bright, vibrant colors I really wanted a happy spring background for sharing our experience using the phil&teds smart, but that wasn’t going to happen with our still-snowy, still-cloudy March weather. I can’t wait to take this stroller out in sunny weather, on actual cement sidewalks not covered with snow. Surely it’s just around the corner, right?

I love these! I have been a Phil and Ted fan forever, spending so many months of my married life in New Zealand! When I first wanted one, you couldn’t get them in Canada, but wow have they grown!
I would do the Lime seat, the bubblegum blue liner, and the hot pink hood.
Id go with the black seat, red liner and black hood 🙂 completely unisex with a good pop of color, and black goes with everything so i could order more liners to personalize it for each child

I. LOVE. This stroller. How totally cute it is, and I love the bright colours. The idea of not having to search around for my stroller if my husband has the kid at an event…if we’re deplaning on vacation…if it’s in a long line of strollers at the aquarium…Plus, it looks totally cute and comfy.
