Its even more “funny” when they sit at the kitchen table and ask you how to spell the mean words that they are composing in a letter to you “Mom, how do you spell hate?”.

My parents kept one that my brother (now mid-forties) wrote (background…parents had left for work, brother and I were fighting, I knocked brother and an entire table full of plants through the living room wall…then our ride showed up und we had to leave it like that): “Sorry about the mess on the floor and the hole in the wall. I’ll clean up the plants when I get home.”
So, yeah, save it – it’s been a family joke for 35 years.
