Celebrate Cheerios Heart Month (with giveaway!)

February is the month of love and of course when you think of love, you think of hearts! Cheerios has brilliantly taken this connection and made February Cheerios Heart Month.

Why Cheerios?  Well, because Cheerios can be part of a heart-healthy diet.  Cheerios contains oat fiber and oat fiber helps lower cholesterol!

I’m all about making small changes to make your life better, rather than a complete life overhaul which in my opinion just doesn’t work.  We’re busy moms, we try and do our best, and making small changes like swapping out your usual breakfast for a bowl of Cheerios is something you can do to better yourself.  Plus, Cheerios are delicious!

My favorite Cheerios are Apple Cinnamon, and now you can get new Chocolate Cheerios in a Family Size like the other flavors!  With a 10 month old in the house, you know we’re a Cheerios household (babies love them so much!)

In all seriousness though, heart health is very important to me as my dad has heart disease.  He had a heart attack in 1996 and an 8-way bypass (yes you read that right!) almost 2 years ago now.  Hm, would that make it an octo-bypass?  In any case, he definitely learned that he needs to take better care of his heart and you can be certain that Cheerios are in their pantry too.
