Hooray for Umi shoes getting in the game and offering their customers baby shoes as part of their line of top quality shoes for kids. I’ve been a fan for a few years now and I remember when Elijah was the only kid in the house that was big enough to wear Umi shoes. When Nevaeh was finally old enough to wear them, I was excited to try the girls line (originally, Umi shoes were only available in size 20 and up, about 1 year of age.) Now, I don’t have to wait until baby Everleigh is 1 year old to wear Umi shoes because the UmiBaby line is here!

Just like your baby, the UmiBaby collection is still growing. There are 8 styles available right now, 4 each for boys and girls but within those styles there’s a variety of colors available as well.

I was given the opportunity to check out a pair of UmiBaby shoes for Everleigh (6 months) and picked the Cassia in fuchsia as my favorite. I thought this style would look adorable with little jeans and of course with anything pink!

Sizing was a debate for me, since Umi shoes are sized using European sizing. The good thing is that there’s a US conversion on the site – but I was still a little thrown off because I had no idea what size Everleigh was in US (CDN) sizes either!

I had to do a little math (ack!) to figure out what size would be best. UmiBaby shoes range in size 16-23 and age 0-2 years. So…16 would be 0-6 months or so and 23 closer to 2 years, for an average size baby. With Everleigh being 6 months, I debated between size EU 16 and EU 17.

There is a printable size chart available on the Umi site as well, I should mention, however it was impossible to get little baby feet to stay still to figure it out that way!

Umi was so kind to send me the Cassia style in both sizes and as it turns out they were right! They suggested the 16 and that’s the size that fits Everleigh best at 6 months.
