Have you heard of Dansko shoes before? Chances are if you know someone that works in nursing, they’re all too familiar with the brand because it’s hugely popular among nurses and others who work on their feet all day. Why all the love? Dansko translated means “Danish shoe” and all their shoes are made with Dansko’s DNA materials and construction made to promote good leg, foot and back health.
Dansko Clogs are the brand’s most popular style of shoe. Of course, Dansko has so much more than just their best-known Clogs. They also happen to make absolutely killer leather boots that have become my new pretty babies this winter. I’ve been on the look-out for fashionable leather boots for a few years now. I admit it, I’ve succumbed to mommy-comfort and I love my comfy flat and cozy boots but they don’t do much to make me look fashionable. They’re functional and for a mom, that’s what we put priority on. Still, wouldn’t it be great to have a gorgeous pair of boots that not only make you look hot but also don’t hurt to walk in? Yeah, I thought so!
The Brielle Boots from Dankso are gorgeous! I squealed with mommy-joy when I opened the box sent courtesy of Dansko and saw these boots inside. Made of soft top of the line milled Nappa leathers, these boots have a very wearable 2 5/8″ heel (enough to give your legs some great shape but not so much that you can’t walk comfortably when you’re used to flats…like me).
The boots feature a side zipper all the way down the leg making them oh-so-easy to slip on. The first time I wore them, I commented to my husband on how comfortable these boots felt on my feet. Obviously, Dansko’s technical features come into play here. The boots feature a leather sock lining with suede forepart. What this means is that it keeps your foot from slipping, ensuring comfortable all day wear. The footbed features shock absorbing foam for additional comfort. Ahhhh, bliss! Hooray for boots that look as good as they feel, finally!
